MISSION STATEMENTThe primary mission of the Cuba Police Department is to keep the peace, enforce the law, and ensure public safety in Cuba. Common sense is always to be used in meeting the needs of safeguarding the public. In fact, common sense should always be the primary decision making authority when performing police duties. In accordance with the necessary duties to maintain high standards of performance, ALL personnel strive to be courteous, fair, objective, and helpful. Good judgement, training, and experience are qualities desired in officers and all staff in the police department. With great pride and respect, our goal is to maintain the confidence of the citizens, the general public, and other agencies, through our dedicated and hard working employees of the Cuba Police Department. To secure and maintain the respect and approval of the public, also means obtaining the willing cooperation of the public in the task of securing observances of the laws. The extent to which the cooperation of the public can be secured diminishes proportionately to the use of physical force in achieving departmental objectives. The test of department efficiency is the absence of crime and disorder, and not the visible evidence of police action in dealing with them. |
